Job Title: Start for Life & Family Hubs Programme Development ManagerGrade: PO8Service: People & Resilience - Early HelpReports to: Start for Life Strategic LeadJob PurposeThis role will lead delivery of the Start for Life and Family Hubs programme - implementing and monitoring the delivery plan which has been agreed with the Department for Education, working to the Start for Life Strategic Lead, and closely with the Programme Manager for Early Help and Family Hubs. This exciting, fast paced role will include
  • Delivery of the Start for Life programme across the 5 workstreams (parenting support, infant feeding, parental mental health, the home learning environment, and parent carer panels and publishing the start for life offer) including assisting with needs assessment and gap identification, researching and designing initiatives under the workstream headings, commissioning and monitoring services (including working with providers to ensure high quality implementation and delivery), convening strategy groups and assisting with strategy development.
  • Ensuring that the minimum and agreed ’go further’ requirements for family hubs are met according to the timescales in the delivery plan. Including working with a range of professionals across the system to get the right services into the hubs, working with parents and carers to ensure their views are represented, developing strong pathways and making sure residents and professionals have access to clear information on what is available and how to access it, working with the team to quality assure / improve services across the pathways to ensure families are getting high quality support at the right time.
  • Reporting to Start for Life Strategic Lead and working with the Early Help / Family Hubs team and the public health team.
  • No line management responsibility
  • Hybrid working - will require time in borough to work with professionals, parents / carers and staff at family hubs.
