Barista

At Gather & Gather, we are known as one of the UK & Irelands most distinctive workplace catering experts, we are passionate about great food and great coffee and putting our employees and customers at the heart of everything that we do. We are currently recruiting for a Barista at Defra York.

Location: York

Rate of pay:£12.00 per hour

Working pattern: 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Must be flexible between 7am and 3pm daily rota

Key responsibilities

• Coffee Service
  
  • Prepare and serve all coffee beverages in a timely manner and to the CH&CO standard.
  • To fulfil daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance routines for coffee equipment
  • Calibrate coffee machine and grinder
  • Keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the CH&CO standards.
  • Communicate with customers about our coffee products
  • Manage allergens in the barista area
  • Serving hot and cold food, taking payments, general cleaning duties
