Role Description

At Kantar Media Division we are proud to be the official provider of TV viewing data for the broadcast channels in the UK.

BARB (The Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board) is a key player in the UK television and advertising industry. Where they are the official provider of television audience viewing figures across all channels available to watch in the UK. Information on viewing behaviours and analytics is collated via GPRS from ‘Panel Homes’, a sample to represent the 24 + million UK home viewers. This allows BARB subscribers to access next day data on UK’s ratings, 365 days a year. BARB data is used in deciding the making and distribution of TV programmes by commercial TV stations, advertising agencies and advertisers to negotiate prices for commercial airtime and to plan TV advertising campaigns.

It’s an exciting time to join the team; with a renewal of the BARB contract till 2029, we are looking to increase our team headcount.

Job Role Requirements

  • Support with our BARB Contract
  • Be a point of call for external and internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with the BARB team in their requirements for new technology and systems.
  • Producing detailed requirements and working with development team to ensure correct understanding of them.
  • Provide analysis on feasibility and implementation
  • Analysing test data to ensure that requirements have been implemented correctly
  • Assist in deployment and testing of new software releases related to processing of data from PM7 and FM2 measurement meters
  • Working to ensure key milestones are met during roll-out of project
  • Review requests, participate in testing and checking tech.

Desirable skills

  • Linux experience
  • System deployment
  • Oracle data base experience
  • Data warehouse experience
  • Willingness to go the extra mile when necessarily.
  • Project Management Experience
