We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, honest, and reliable person to join a small, friendly team as a Bar Manager for our exciting new pub/club.

The job involves the day-to-day management of the bar and includes working the bar, cellar, staffing management, stock taking, till reconciliation, and other routine tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar role and have the appropriate social skills; they should have a pleasant, approachable attitude, have excellent customer service skills, and be reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. An enthusiastic and highly motivated hands-on person with a proven track record

We need someone who will promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Familiarity with Electronic Point of Sale systems, experience working at management level (preferably in a similar environment), experience in cellar management, stock control, and the supervision of staff are essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly when necessary, with days and hours to be agreed upon and weekend and evening work required.

Responsibilities and key duties

• Responsible for all aspects of cellar management (line cleaning, stock management, ordering, deliveries, etc.).
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bars, glassware, shelving, etc.
• Ensure accurate bar accounting procedures are practised.
• Open or close premises and maintain security.
• Serve customers in a pleasant and friendly manner.
• Assess and continually monitor the health and safety aspects, maintenance requirements, hygiene, and cleanliness of the club.
• Work with the management to develop and implement changes to promote the business and help it grow.
• The training and supervision of staff
• Have the ability or experience to handle different situations in a calm and positive manner.
• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Interact with customers, answer questions, and serve drinks and food.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is essential.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• You must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Pay negotiable depending on experience
• A personal licence holder would be a bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

• Ringwood, BH24 1DY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Supervising experience: 1 year (required)
• Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred)
• Bar management: 1 year (required)
• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
• Management: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
