Salary:£10.42- £10.60 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location:Lichfield

We are looking for a bank housekeeper to join our Bright Horizons Springfields Nursery , situated just outside Lichfield City Centre

What you’ll be doing

  • Keep the Nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, staff and families

  • Encourage and model behaviour which is appropriate in a child environment being professional at all times

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day

  • To carry out daily laundry duties as required

  • To respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality, for example being aware of personal information regarding children

  • Support, promote and implement policies and procedures

  • Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking of certain domestic tasks within the nursery e.g. supporting over meal times and cleaning of equipment

  • To take reasonable care of yourself and others and to comply with company Health and Safety guidelines whilst understanding the importance of keeping everyone safe and the part you play.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property

  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post

  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements

  • Great communication skills, with both colleagues, children, and parents

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
