We have a great opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist with a strong background in clinical pharmacy, quality improvement and innovation to develop their career at a senior level, following some restructuring of our service and new funding. This post provides leadership to the clinical teams on the east-side of the Trust, covering Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire localities.Your role will be to increase the clinical time of pharmacy staff on wards and in community teams, support and develop independent prescribing pharmacists, and ensure clinical staff support our wider teams in the best possible way across a large geographical area.
The AWP pharmacy service employs approximately 50 staff. There are two technician-led dispensaries in the Trust, and clinical pharmacy teams embedded in the locality ward/community team bases. Each locality has a locality lead pharmacist, clinical pharmacists and medicines management technicians.
You will assist the Deputy Chief Pharmacist with strategic service planning and medicines governance.
You will represent Pharmacy at Trust wide meetings to develop and support the ‘patient-facing’ aspects of our medicines optimisation agenda.
The post includes on-call and some weekend and bank holiday working
