Your New Company

Hays Healthcare are actively recruiting Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners (RMN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist) to work in our clients CAMHS service based in St Helens. The hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm and £24 per hour (via umbrella). The service is for young people up to the age of 18 who have emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties which are causing difficulties in their school, family or social life.

Your new role and responsibilities
  • To accept referrals of children and their families, allocated by the Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary team process.
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions that are agreed with the child and caregiver in accordance with best practice.
  • Ensure comprehensive risk assessment of children, young people and families and that risk management plans are in place and documented.
  • Engage and support service users and carers utilising evidence based psychotherapeutic principles.
  • Prescribe and deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
  • Up-to-date Professional Registration (to be maintained), RMN, Social Worker, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in the field of child and adolescent mental health
  • Experience with children and adolescents with mental health problems
  • Ability to apply therapeutic knowledge to clinical practice
  • Experience in Mental health and risk assessments of children, adolescents and their families
