NHS Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (Somerset CCG) is looking to recruit a Band 6 Communications Officer to support the Somerset Health and Care Strategy, Fit for my Future.

We are looking for a professional, energetic and ambitious individual to join our busy Communications and Engagement team. You will have experience of working with

The role will support the organisation’s communication plans and activities for the Fit for my Future programme. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the Fit for my Future communications plan.

This is a busy role where you will be expected to have a hands-on approach and work under pressure at times. You will need to be able manage multiple priorities, work well independently and have experience of delivering public communications for a complex change programme. Creativity and the ability to convey complex messages in an engaging, simple way are essential.

You will also need to be passionate about involving and empowering communities to get involved and have their say.

The role will include a mixture of working from home, travelling across Somerset to engagement events and working at our head office in Yeovil (NHS Somerset CCG HQ - Wynford House, Lufton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 8HR).

You will need to have access to a car / public transport, and be willing to work flexibly including occasional evenings and weekends.

This is a fixed ter, full time post of 37.5 hours per week until 31 March 2022.
