Job IntroductionJoin us as a Band 5 Dietitian and receive a £1000 welcome bonus! We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated to join our small, friendly and busy community dietetics team based at Bickerstaffe House, Ormskirk covering the West Lancashire area.The successful candidate will, manage a caseload of nutritional support patients, while being supported to complete competencies in home enteral tube feeding, gastroenterology and neurology. Upon completion of the competencies, the role will transition into a band 6 post.Work will take place in a variety of settings, including face to face clinics, telephone/virtual clinics, home visits and in care/nursing homes.Main ResponsibilityThe successful candidate will provide dietetic assessment and support to adults and their carers in the community setting. The main responsibilities will include:- To provide clinical dietetic service within designated areas and be actively involved in the development and provision of the nutritional service in those areas
- Demonstrate commitment to completing competencies in a timely manner
- As an autonomous practitioner, to be responsible for safe and efficient management of a patient caseload through assessment of clinical need and effective prioritisation
- To provide nutritional advice to patients, carers and clinicians based on clinical evidence
- Be a qualified Dietitian with a HCPC registration
- Have experience of managing nutritional support patients
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
