Job Summary
  • To be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide high quality care to patients and support to relatives
  • To work within the multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care to a group of patients from admission to discharge in the department.
  • To participate in the teaching and supervision of junior staff and student learners as required.
  • To maintain own personal development with support.
Particular emphasis is put at Kings on the need to ensure that all staff recognise their responsibility to deliver services in a high quality, courteous, patient focused manner maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

The Alan Cummings Day Surgery Unit at the PRUH, Bromley is made up of 6 theatres, a 30 bedded ward and 2 pre assessment rooms which operate Monday to Friday, in a variety of specialities. The unit caters to both adult and paediatric patients. Specialties include: orthopaedics, gynaecology, general, general/breast surgery, laparoscopic surgery, ophthalmic, dental, vascular, pain, cardioversion, urology, paediatrics and ENT – Ears, Nose and Throat. We enjoy the reputation of being a world leader in innovative surgical interventions.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated anaesthetic staff to join our team with a focus on developing their skills and workforce in Anaesthetics. We are keen to hear from applicants who are dynamic, flexible, self-motivated and passionate about providing excellent patient care whilst developing a work force fit for the future.

We have a mixture of nurses and ODP’s in our anaesthetic team and we pride ourselves on the delivery of high standards of patient care. Our hardworking and committed anaesthetic practitioners, work across all specialties.

To be eligible for the position you must be a Registered Nurse with a UK recognised post-registration anaesthetic course, or a registered Operating Department Practitioner. In return we will offer you the ability to advance your skills and aim to provide you with high standard of training through our Practice Development Team and through our Kings Partners higher education institutions.
