A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Haywood and Padgett! We are looking for Production Operatives to join this friendly, family run team based on Carlton Industrial Estate, Barnsley.

The company is growing rapidly and there are great progression opportunities from Supervisors to Shift Managers, available to all candidates whether you go temp to perm or are working on an ongoing basis.

Haywood & Padgett

Haywood & Padgett are a family run bakery, established in 1987, with over 30 years experience in producing fine quality scones and bakery products. They are becoming the UK’s largest scone manufacturer producing around 6 million scones a week (over 60,000 scones per hour) and employing more than 150 employees.

In this role you would be packing and quality checking a wide range of their products from plain scones to cherry scones, sultana scones, giant scones, devon scones, derby scones & more!

Haywood & Padgett’s products can be found in many major retailers and supermarkets such as Lidl, Aldi, Co-op, Nisa, Farmfoods, Tesco, Morrisons, Iceland, Asda, Ocado & Sainsburys.

The Role Involves
  • To ensure that all baked products are effectively and efficiently finished
  • Quality checking finished products
  • To become competent in the use of all relevant equipment and processes within the packing area
  • To become fully knowledgeable with Quality Standards
  • To understand and follow Company Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations
  • The candidate will do all tasks within his/her level of skill and ability

Available Shift patterns
  • Shifts are Saturday and Sunday – 7am-7pm / 8am-8pm or 7pm-7am.
  • Shifts are also available through the week extra.
