We’re seeking qualified Bakery & Food Production Compliance Officer, the right candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running in terms of experience and knowledge.

Salary 28/29k per rota . 3/4 days a week ( onsite).

Would suit ex EHO.

Consultancy would be considered.

Based in a Bakery production unit.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring of food safety, quality and legality within the manufacturing environment.
  • Audit the processes that maintain quality systems and ensure compliance in line with Good Manufacturing/Hygiene Procedures (GMP/GHP).
  • Work with the management to create and update internal specifications.
  • Ensure that all aspects of food safety, quality and legal compliance are maintained.
  • Conduct daily taste panels.
  • Monitor the quality systems used on site, taking appropriate remedial action in the case of non-compliance.

Key Requirements:
  • Communicates well at all levels.
  • Internal auditing experience (formal qualification desirable).
  • Experienced in a quality/technical role - preferably gained in food industry.
  • Experience with GFSI standards or similar.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (occasional weekends when running gluten Free production).
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word & Excel.
