The Role
Working within the Azure Cloud Platform Team to deliver technology change and support business change to IT services, components and integrations hosted on the Azure public cloud platform. A great opportunity to join a newly established team and help shape the cloud adoption for the business. The team have a DevOps focus and have adopted Infrastructure as Code principles concentrated on Microsoft and Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Compliance with Azure public cloud platform standards and best practice
- Assessment, acceptance, integration, and adoption of planned changes to the Azure public cloud platform
- Delivery of change to the Azure public cloud platform
- Driving DevOps principles across the business
- Maintenance release and update assessment, acceptance, integration, and adoption for the Azure public cloud platform
- 3rd line support for the Azure public cloud platform during in operational hours and out of hours through on call structure
- Identification of improvement opportunities to improve the Azure cloud platform and/or the Azure cloud platform team including skills, knowledge, tooling and automation
- Representation of Azure cloud platform in business and technology forums to educate forums on the role of the Azure cloud platform, challenge where appropriate and assess the impact of planned changes
- Work alongside Azure Lead Cloud Platform Lead and Development teams as part of a technology group to provide an effective IT service management and operations capability
- Shift left approach to enable 1st and 2nd line support and IT operations to provide effective support and minimise the use of 3rd line for the Azure public cloud platform
Essential Experience and Skills
- Public cloud technology platform delivery
- Public cloud technology platform operations and support
- Azure DevOps Skills and Experience
- Terraform/Azure Bicep IaC skills and experience
- Strong PowerShell, DSC, Azure CLI scripting understanding
- Security and network principals - Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Budgets
- Azure AD Identity Governance
- IT service management principles and ITL
- Problem-solving attitude and good communication skills
If you have any of the following qualifications/ experience, that would be highly desirable:
- Public cloud technology infrastructure change delivery in a large retail / ecommerce enterprise
- Azure product and service experience
