Azure Data Business Analyst | Immediate Start | Long Term Project | £400-£500 per day

You will be working with a market leading insurance company and will be an integral part of an exciting Azure native solutions project . You will be part of a specialist team responsible for building the Azure Data Warehouse and will required to work closely with the engineers and Architects to provide real time solutions as well as onshore and off shore support. We are looking for a candidate that has an insurance backgroundand is comfortable working in a close knit team where good communication with colleagues off all seniority levels is essential.

You will be responsible for:
  • Business Requirements Documentation: Document a BRD for each Use case within the Data Programme. You are responsible for ensuring the business sponsor and SMEs approve the requirement documents before passing over to the development team.
  • Acceptance Documentation:Create acceptance documentation for each project with the support of the business SMEs and Product Owners. You are also responsible for assuring the quality of builds meets the minimum required before user testing can begin.
  • User testing Support:Work with the Test Manager to create standard UAT testing scripts and support users in creating their own scripts for each project. Support users throughout the testing process providing feedback to the development team through the daily stand-up meetings.
  • Support:Act as an intermediary between the technical team, business SMEs and sponsor to ensure all key stakeholders are aligned with expectations and delivery.
What we need from you:
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in requirement gathering, understanding the data flows and data mapping.
  • Knowledge of data services in Azure like Azure DataFactory and Azure Databricks.
  • Keen Interest in learning new tools and Insurance products.
  • Understanding of Specialty Insurance domain.
  • Exposure to various insurance functions, viz., underwriting, policy issuance/new business, agency, reinsurance, accounting, etc.
  • Good communication and excellent client facing skills.
Desirable skills:
  • Azure Data Platform experience.
  • Business analysis in a data environment.
  • Experience of specialty Insurance.
  • Delivery in Scrum/Agile methodology.
  • Experience of using Azure DevOps for work management.
  • Have worked in the Lloyd’s of London Insurance marketand be familiar with the market business processes, platforms & solutions.
