PERMANENT DAY SHIFT Automated Butt TIG welding of products produced to a NADCAP accredited control and meeting the standards required of both the business and customers. Work is conducted in a NADCAP controlled aerospace environment with the standard of work produced being such that it would pass visual, dye penetrant and radiography standards. Essential
  • Experienced in working within an engineering environment.
  • Experienced in using production tooling and machinery.
  • 3 x Level 2 qualifications (Maths, English + another)
  • Ability to inspect work to both company and customer standards
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Ability to follow “job cards”
  • Ability to interpret welding procedures and schedules Personal attributes
  • Enthusiastic
  • Can do attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good eyesight (can be corrected) and hand eye co-ordination
  • Ability to learn a variety of processes within the business Preferred but not essential
  • Experience of welding exotic alloys
  • Automated Butt TIG Welding experience on thin materials - generally 0.076mm – 3mm thick
  • Experience of working with manufacturing jigs and assembly aids.
  • Evidence of Aerospace standard welding approvals
  • NVQ Level3 Welding Engineering apprenticeship
  • Experience of working with Titanium, Stainless steel and Nickel alloy materials
  • Ability to work additional hours where required Hours Constant Night Shift: 36 hours Monday to Thursday 21.00 - 6.30am Pay Rate £20.28 per hour
