(The client is open to graduate level candidates, along with experienced Audience Managers) A great opportunity for an Audience Manager to join a leading publishing company. They deliver premium advertising and content-led services for research-based organisations, allowing them to communicate their messages effectively to the right audience. In meeting our clients’ goals, we also create value for our global audience of scientists, researchers, and clinicians. The audience manager will work on developing winning client proposals utilising our comprehensive content and audience segmentation data. As such, they will work closely with the commercial sales, marketing, and technology teams to ensure client’s needs are addressed.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a best-practice approach for identifying and refining key audience groups across our channels and platforms
  • Work alongside our client-facing sales, and marketing teams to better understand client requirements, and work on the creation and delivery of client-specific pitches & proposals
  • Become a recognised expert in the scope and scale of our scientific and clinical audiences, as well as the available techniques for audience and campaign creation and targeting
  • Carry out rigorous testing and analysis in order to benchmark and improve performance
  • Provide training on audiences and capabilities to stakeholders including sales and commercial marketing colleagues
  • Research, develop and rollout new audience offerings and products

Key Relationships:

  • Commercial Sales and Marketing Teams, Commercial Product team, Senior Leadership team, external platforms and vendors. Product and development teams.

Qualifications:

  • Science Degree/Masters [preferably in a life- or clinical-science field]

Experience and Skills:

  • You’ll have the ability to manage complex projects from inception to execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced excel skills
  • A background or qualification in the sciences is required for this position, to enable you to work effectively with our wide range of clients
  • Experience of working within digital media also desirable, for a media owner/publisher, agency or technology provider
  • Experience of pre-sales, or developing compelling sales propositions, preferably involving the use of contextual and behavioural 1st party data desirable
  • Experience with advertising or marketing technology tools and platforms useful but not essential
