Job Description

Associate Technician

The position carries responsibility for supporting the Production Team, producing the eight monovalent Eimeria bulk antigens from specified pathogen free (SPF) derived birds, in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), to meet demand forecasts and designated efficiencies.

To perform production duties as specified in accordance with the planned Primary Production schedules. These duties may include any or all the following
  • Working with animals (Birds)
  • Cleaning of equipment and/or facilities which will include the use of power washers
  • Operating Process Equipment
  • Microscopy
  • Use of Autoclaves
To comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Operational Instructions (POI) within the Production Unit in the production of unsterile bulk antigens.

To always maintain safe working practices within the Production Units

To ensure that equipment and facilities are maintained to an acceptable standard. Ensure deficiencies are reported to Engineering, to ensure they are rectified in a timely manner.

To ensure positive, timely and effective communication with team members and internal customers.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with Animals
  • Experience working within a Production Environment
  • Knowledge of GMP
