Job Title: Associate or Senior Editor, Nature Cell Biology

Location: London, Berlin, New York or Shanghai

Nature Cell Biology seeks a stem cell biologist to join our editorial team as an Associate or Senior Editor.

Nature Cell Biology publishes high-quality papers in all areas of cell biology and provides a highly visible forum for communicating important advances to a broad readership. Members of the editorial team participate in all aspects of the editorial process including manuscript selection and managing the peer review process, commissioning and editing News & Views and Reviews articles, and writing for the journal. Nature Cell Biology editors also organise and attend conferences, visit laboratories, and maintain close contact with the international scientific community.

You will have a broad interest in science, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to critically evaluate research submitted to the broad cell biological areas covered by the journal. You will be fluent in spoken and written English, with an eagerness to learn new fields and engage with the scientific community.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in cell biology, preferably with expertise in stem cell research. Post-doctoral research experience is preferred. Full training is given but candidates with editorial experience may be considered for a Senior Editor position.

The position will be based in the Springer Nature offices in New York, London, Berlin, or Shanghai.

All employees are working remotely but will be expected to be in the office, one when it re-opens in line with our working from home policy.
