Main duties of the job

All Board members are expected to champion the standards of public life, by upholding the highest standards of conduct and displaying the principles of selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

This appointment will enable the Board to maintain a wide range of Non-Executive skills and support future succession planning.

We are particularly seeking an individual who has a clinical or medical background and has worked at a senior level in a health care.

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit an Associate Non-Executive Director to join the Trust Board.

The Trust provides a wide range of acute and community services, for the people of St Helens, Knowsley, Halton and Liverpool, with some specialist services attracting patients from further afield. The Trust operates from Whiston Hospital and St Helens Hospital, in addition to a number of other locations. Both main hospitals are modern purpose built facilities that support staff to provide high quality care for our patients.
