Associate Lecturer - Law

Arden University is a growing organisation delivering online only and blended study options to students studying towards undergraduate degrees and master’s and MBA programmes. We have study centres in numerous locations across the UK, as well as a centre in Berlin, and a head office based in Coventry.

The Role

This is a freelance role Delivering at our Birmingham Study Centre.

You will be teaching Arden University blended learning students by utilising a range of innovative learning materials and resources.

Arden currently has opportunities in Law from levels 4 through to level 6.

Being experienced at teaching students at level 4 and above in Law within the UK HE-sector, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver student-centred teaching approaches.

Ideally you will have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one.

You will need to be qualified to at least postgraduate level in English law or a related discipline.

Demonstrable industry experience will enhance your application.

As our teaching is done both online and in person, experience of delivering lectures and supporting students in an online or blended learning environment would be desirable. Exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard or similar).

We run occasional staff training events in our Coventry Head Office, there would be an expectation for you to attend where possible.

We would welcome applications from candidates who have experience on teaching on professional programmes such as the LPC/SQE.

Working Pattern

You will be required to deliver in person, teaching from either 9am-1pm and/or 1:30pm – 5:30pm dependant on the requirements.

As a suitable applicant you will be able to demonstrate you hold a British/EU/EEA passport, a tier one visa, or a valid Biometric Residence Permit.
