Job Title: Associate Engineer - Rail Industry
Location: AmershamJob Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Engineer to join our dynamic team in Amersham, specialising in the rail industry. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of design engineers and technicians on various rail projects. Your primary focus will be on project management, business development, and ensuring the successful delivery of rail engineering solutions. Candidates with a professional qualification such as Chartership and a background in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering are encouraged to apply. Additionally, we are open to progressing a Principal Engineer into the Associate Engineer role based on merit and experience.Key Responsibilities:- Project Management:
  • Lead and oversee a team of design engineers and technicians in the execution of rail projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the rail industry.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while cultivating new client relationships.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team as needed.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Effectively delegate tasks, manage workloads, and promote collaboration within the team.
  • Qualifications:- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional qualification or Chartership in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in the rail industry, including project management and team leadership.
  • Strong business development skills with a track record of securing new projects and clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards in the rail sector.
