We are looking for an associate director of corporate affairs and company secretary who will provide excellent corporate governance, advise and support the board and senior team, and lead our legal services. You will also be a kind and compassionate leader who lives our values and wants to make a difference to patients and colleagues. We are interested in hearing from people with significant experience in corporate governance, whether you have a legal background or have come via other routes, and whether you are an NHS lifer or have never worked in healthcare before. We offer flexible working – part time or full time and with opportunities to be home based for some of the week. The Postholder Will

Role Summary:
  • Act as Company Secretary working closely with the Chairman and Chief Executive to ensure that effective and integrated corporate governance arrangements are in place.
  • Ensure that the board and council of governors operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee systems and process which ensure that external regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support the Chief Executive in ensuring that the Trust has processes in place to meet regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate the Trust’s in-house and external Legal Services, acting as line manager to the legal team.
  • Provide professional and strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Board and senior management.
  • Act as an effective member of the senior management team.
  • Work collaboratively across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System
