As a member of the senior management team you will plan, manage, control and execute key sector business including the management of a team in providing professional engineering services to external and internal clients. As Associate Director you will actively promote the business and engage in Business Development to secure both existing and new Clients’ business.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertake the direct management of engineering services design and consultancy work on behalf of Capita P&I and develop new business opportunities.
  • Undertake the planning and management of staff in the production of calculations, production of drawings, specifications and reports, site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison, liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and any other relevant duty required to comply with the project brief.
  • Ensuring an understanding of project briefs by the team
  • Reviewing progress plus managing any anomalies and scope of duty revisions
  • Regularly reviewing computations, information and content of projects (Project Reviews)
  • Ensuring all work is completed under the company quality assurance (BMS) procedures
  • Undertake financial management responsibility and control

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree educated in a relevant field
  • Previous people management experience
  • Worked within Engineering 10+ years
  • Ideally at Associate level 3+ years
