Commercial real estate valuation services: Associate

For more than 30 years, SitusAMC has been a global leader in asset management, commercial real estate advisory and project consulting services. Since 1985 we have been involved with one trillion+ euros of Commercial Real Estate related transactions. In 2016 we established our Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) in London, covering Europe and APAC, expanding upon our existing lender and equity fund services in Europe and building upon the success of REVS in the US, which comprises over 100 real estate professionals.

REVS London based team provides real estate valuation consulting and due diligence services to the highest level of clients in the private equity, insurance, fund and banking industries.

Due to expanding client mandates, we are looking to add an Associate in our Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) team based in London.

Purpose:

To assist our London team in growing REVS’s business and revenue across Europe/APAC focusing on valuation management services.

Summary:

The role will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of valuation management and review on commercial real estate across EMEA and APAC for both lenders and equity funds. The role will include assisting with the review of valuations performed by 3rd party valuers on our client’s assets. In addition to reviewing and analysing reports, cash flows and portfolio analytics, the position requires a self-starter who is willing to proactively seek to increase efficiencies and improve deliverables through enhancing processes and data management.

Detail:

  • Assisting with the commercial valuation management process
  • Reviewing and analysing valuation reports and calculations
  • Reviewing executive summaries, cash flows, and comparable data
  • Utilising Argus Enterprise for the creation and review of valuations, adopting both traditional income and DCF approaches
  • Utilising and assisting clients in using our proprietary Valuation Management System (VMS)
  • Preparing market research to assess real estate markets and establish comparable sets
  • Undertaking market analysis including data analytics

Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of Commercial Real Estate and Finance
  • Attention to detail and analytically minded
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated, and execute at a high level
  • Prior experience of working in other European/APAC markets beneficial
  • Additional language skills beneficial

Core Competencies for this role:

  • Degree in finance and/or real estate
  • MRICS qualified or current APC candidate
  • RICS Registered Valuer a plus
  • Previous applicable work experience in valuation
  • Working knowledge in Argus Enterprise and/or other valuation models
  • Proactive attitude and a desire to add value

The role is based within our London office, with a hybrid of office and home working.

Pay: £36,480.12-£79,298.11 per year
