Assistant Treasury Accountant
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£32,925 per year
35 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 12 months
We are looking for an Assistant Treasury Accountant to join our in-house Treasury team covering both cash management and reporting elements. With 3 direct reports, you will be responsible for ensuring your team maintain accurate financial records in relation to the funding for the Group from banks and capital markets. We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who has had experience within a similar role and ready for their next challenge.
The role of Assistant Treasury Accountant will include:
- Ensuring accurate reporting within timely deadlines and responsibility for loan covenant and compliance processes and procedures
- Reviewing processes to ensure on going best practice and providing recommendations or alternatives where required
- Coordinating business information to customers and stakeholders to enable effective decision making, business planning and financial management
- Supporting the treasury analyst with day to day activities, including month end processes and reconciliations
Skills and experiences:
- Part Qualified Accountant in CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
- Some experience of undertaking a similar role
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively in order to meet conflicting deadlines
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Intermediate Excel, Word and Outlook is essential
- Some experience in the use of financial systems
- Experience in leading, motivating and managing a team
