IT Centre Europe (ITCE) oversees and manages the secure operations of IT applications and front-end systems used in all Bank of China (BOC) branches and representative offices located within Europe and Africa. The IT Risk Management Department of ITCE is primarily responsible for managing information technology risks within the ITCE and EMEA branches. This includes organising the development of policies and regulations, as well as tasks related to the identification, measurement, monitoring and control of information technology risks. As an Assistant Technical Manager, you will be responsible for taking part in information technology risk management and information security management within ITCE and across all supporting branches. This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in regional information technology risk management that includes developing strategy and policies, identifying, quantifying, monitoring and responding to information technology risks
  • Perform regular monitoring and examination to ensure that security controls are in place and effective
  • Assist in monitoring, investigating, documenting and following up incidents
  • Assist in organising regular technical training and awareness sessions on information security
  • Assist in creating disaster recovery plans, coordinate with Head Office in global disaster recovery drills, assist in organising local disaster recovery drill
  • Assist in developing and implementing data protection mechanism, preventing data loss and service interruptions by researching new technologies

Requirements

  • Degree educated preferably in Computer Science, Programming or other equivalent
  • Certification in information security is preferred
  • Experience in IT risk and security management
  • Knowledge of principles of information technology, databases and applications, or networks, telecom, wireless and mobility
  • Experience in software development management or system administration
  • Banking operations experience
  • Fundamental IT user skills
  • Team player who is able to work independently
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
