About the Role

As part of the Hardware team aligned to the Stock team, your role would be to help ensure that the levels of stock required, are maintained and monitored. You will also be the first port of call for all stock requests, and therefore any existing knowledge of products aligned to the sports and broadcasting industries would be a plus.
Our Warehouse is expected to hold over £5Million worth of stock throughout the busier months, and this role will be to ensure that the stock is in the right place, at the right time, and recorded and audited correctly.
As part of this role, there will be a degree of day-to-day work as part of the Goods In team, when required. You would be expected to follow the process and ensure all goods received are in perfect condition, as ordered, and distributed correctly, with any issues raised at the time of discovery.
There will be contact with the wider business, so excellent communication skills are required.
The role also potentially includes a technical aspect, including diagnosing equipment and laptop troubleshooting. Any existing knowledge of Windows desktop systems would be preferred.

As a person, we will see the ideal candidate as someone who can work independently, whilst being able to prioritise tasks and with a base technical knowledge. There will be work as part of a small team, and we would expect the ideal candidate to be able to bring solutions and present them in a methodical and well-thought way.

Day to Day Duties

  • Use of Stock management system. Control of product and asset databases.
  • Handling stock requests from the wider business. Offering alternatives based on product knowledge and stock levels where applicable.
  • Handling and monitoring booking rotas for various locations used by the wider business.
  • Assisting the stock controller by monitoring stock levels and maintaining minimum stock requirements.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of the Production Floor and other utilised areas
  • Performing frequent audits to ensure reported values and quantities match.
  • Maintain core Goods In standards and follow processes.
  • Coordination with Logistics Team regarding kit movement queries
  • General porterage duties including advance kit preparation and eventual return to HQ.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • The role requires an eagerness to learn new skills and gain new knowledge to cover the continuously evolving hardware technologies used by all departments;
  • Must be diligent and have attention to detail as this role will encompass financial elements;
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation;
  • Good organisational skills including attention to detail and prioritising your own workload;
  • Reporting and escalating to management as needed;
  • Must take responsibility for their work, standards and training program;
  • Other reasonable duties directed by your manager
  • Existing knowledge of a stock management system would be preferential.
