Meet the team

Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate group is highly regarded by our clients and within the sector. It comprises not only lawyers but town and country planners, RICS surveyors, property managers and sector focused financial advisers. We’ve brought experts into our services in planning, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters, construction and litigation with a particular emphasis on energy, retail, housing, education, finance and investment funds.

Our plot sales team deals with the legal aspects of plot sales for our clients, including planning, development, investment, construction, litigation and dealing with both landlord and tenant matters. The team regularly acts on behalf of some of the UK’s biggest house builders.

The opportunity

In this role you will support and assist the Senior Conveyancing Executives based in Birmingham and Solihull to ensure a consistent delivery of a profitable, streamlined service to our clients.

Your main duties will be completion of the site set ups across the wider Plots Team which will require excellent knowledge of the technical and procedural elements plus exceptional client liaison skills, and assisting the Conveyancing Executives and Legal Assistants with day to day questions, enquiries and general support.

You will be responsible for the site set up process including:
  • attending legal pre-start/site set up meetings
  • creation of Word directories
  • arranging for the site up in the Developer Drive
  • sending pick list to IT Axxia to upload
  • setting up the initial HighQ Data Room
  • dealing with the more complex enquiries and complaints that cannot be dealt with by the CE.


You Will Also Be
  • working alongside the CE’s and SCE’s to ensure smooth completion of a sale. For example:
  • studying master conveyance plan and submit to HMLR for approval
  • drafting of legal information report, contract, transfer and lease
  • reviewing titles; research and deal with registration restrictions
  • drafting deeds of variation as required for example on S121 and rent charge provisions.
  • supporting the SCE’s to ensure a consistent delivery of a streamlined service in line with clients Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • developing a good understanding of each new client’s requirements for plot documentation
  • assisting the SCE’s working with the wider team to optimise client relationships and profitability, maintaining close contact with clients
  • identifying improvements to working practices and efficiencies to ensure a consistent delivery of a quality service, optimising the use of processes, systems and skills of the team.


Other Duties
  • attending development sites wherever possible
  • responsible for supporting junior members of the team


Skills And Experience You Will Have
  • A minimum of 3 years previous fee earner experience gained within a plot sales team
  • Experience of completing a site set up
  • Client focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience of using a Case Management System
