This immediate permanent opportunity is with a well established family business that has grown from a small beginning to be a substantial sub-contracting operation throughout the UK. They have worked with many of the largest national Civil Engineering Contractors on projects valued on occasion in excess of £100 million. The company has completed small and major projects for a range of clients within the construction industry, projects ranging from Highway works, Environmental, Ground works & Civil engineering, Utilities, Private and Public realm and Commercial works.

The right candidate will be presentable and confident in their ability as a QS. You must have industry experience working within groundworks, civil engineering and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing budgets and placing orders with Sub-contractors
  • Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluating and negotiating sub-contractor and supplier agreements.
  • Monitoring project costs and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Producing regular financial reports for management
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in quantity surveying with JCT / NEC contract knowledge
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-related software and tools
