Job Title: Assistant Psychologist

Location: Longdon Hall School, West Midlands

Salary: £19,000 to £25,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required plus right to work in the UK

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our clinical team working within a school for young people who have social, emotional and mental health needs. This exciting role will involve working under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist to carry out tasks that will involve group work, 1:1 work, audit and evaluation. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work with and learn more about psychotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.

Essential Criteria:

• Undergraduate degree in Psychology
• Relevant experience of working with adults in care
• First-hand experience of a range of research methods
• First-hand experience of quantitative and qualitative research, including different methods of data collection, research designs, analysis and final report writing
• Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience of teaching and/or supporting of other health professionals
• Experience or knowledge of relevant client group (service specific)
