ASF are a principal fit out contractor who pride themselves on exceptional client feedback from delivering within timescales and to exceptional standards.

We are looking for an experienced assistant project manager to join our growing organisation. The role will assist the current project manager and contract managers in the day to day delivery of projects by producing and managing programmes on time and within budget.

We are based in Rochester, Kent with travel to sites across mid and south England when required. This position will cover a variety of fit out and construction contracts primarily in the retail sector and food supermarkets.

THE ROLE

Support the project and contract managers with:

  • Populate and manage project plans in line with the project scope
  • Arrange and minute taking of project related meetings (both internal and with clients)
  • Document and manage actions, risks and issues
  • Ensure all project documents are prepared, ready for starting on site
  • Record keeping of construction staff and subcontractors
  • Ensure the contract managers and clients expectations are met throughout the project
  • Process orders of specialist materials and ensuring they are delivered to site on time
  • Ensure projects remain on budget and on time through maintaining contact with sites
  • Deal with day-to-day queries from the contract and project mangers
  • Produce hand-over packs for clients at the end of each project to ensure material guarantees are in place and all instruction booklets are handed over
  • Ensure all required site signage has been installed and is maintained

KEY SKILLS

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a project environment within the construction industry. Fit out experience would be an advantage.
  • Self motivated, flexible and enthusiastic professional
  • Highly conscientious and essential quality and attention to detail
  • Forward thinking and process-oriented
  • A team player with excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Pro-active and professional approach
  • Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle is essential
  • Eligibility to work in the UK on a permanent basis must be fluent in English, verbal & written
  • High level of Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project are essential

QUALIFICATIONS

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
