Goodwood Event Catering manages and operates the catering operations at the Motorsport venue which include the Festival of Speed, Revival and The Members meeting as well as the Qatar race meeting and an additional 14 race days at the Racecourse.

Role Purpose
To support the Racecourse Operations Manager to plan, develop and deliver all Racecourse events.
Key focus will on hospitality and retail standards and delivery.
Reporting to the Racecourse operations manager you will be directly responsible for the key result areas below
Planning
(amongst other general responsibilities).
Collaboration – Work in collaboration with all department to agree requirements and timelines.
Structured Approach – ensure that all activities are delivered in line with the agreed measurable outcomes,
Own and keep updated the lessons learned process
External landscape – keep up to date with market trends which may impact the operation and make suggestions to evolve / keep ahead of ‘the curve’.
Operations
Ownership of the day to day delivery of consistent and exceptional product quality and service
standards to achieve and ideally exceed department targets and grow our reputation for celebrated customer experiences
Readiness to trade - Oversee and ensure that all services within remit are ready for operation at specific time and to the agreed standard.
Hospitality – Lead on planning, delivery and execution of all hospitality, sponsors areas.
Maintain a strong relationship with the Goodwood Hospitality and Partnership Management team to agree on requirements and timelines.
Work alongside the location accountant to ensure that accurate billing is completed in a timely manner
Retail
Consistency – Work with the Racecourse Operations Manager to develop robust operations plans that ensures
that food quality, presentation, staffing standards and operational standards are maintained according.
Monitor and maintain the Health and Safety policy, process and culture across the venue
Communications - Directly liaise with the Racecourse client representatives, Hospitality and Partnership
Management teams as and your Team Managers to ensure that communication and expectations are clear.
Use structured, regular and consistent meetings as a key tool.
Guest Focus – Champion the guest focused culture, continually sharing and acting on client and customer
feedback
Health & Safety – Lead the H&S culture and compliance across the venue
People
Culture – Support the Operations Manager to maintain a high level of team energy and engagement, focused
on great food and hospitality
Communications - ensure effective team communication flows (in all directions) throughout the venue.
Reward and recognise - Recognise and celebrate success.
