With our continued growth and onboarding of new brands, we are expanding our Buying & Merchandising Department.What are we looking for in an Assistant Merchandiser/Buyer?We’re seeking an Assistant Merchandiser/Buyer who has experience working in a buying or merchandising department, either as an Administrator, Trainee, or Assistant Buyer/Merchandiser. If you’re looking to build upon your existing skills and knowledge or seeking a new challenge in your career, this role is perfect for you.We value individuals who are confident, quick learners, and possess a good knowledge of MS Office and Excel. Basic understanding of forecasting and strong Excel skills, including V-lookups and Pivot tables, would be advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as we have a great team spirit and believe in supporting one another.While experience in footwear, apparel, retail, or the distribution industry would be beneficial, we provide comprehensive training to help you excel in the industry.What will the Assistant Merchandiser/Buyer role entail?As an Assistant Merchandiser/Buyer at Gardiner Bros & Footsure group, you will:
  • Handle administration tasks, such as raising supplier orders, preparing invoices for sign-off, and maintaining accurate records in all systems.
  • Report and provide feedback on stock and order positions to relevant parties.
  • Maintain effective communication with the supply base, ensuring any issues are promptly communicated and resolved while meeting order deadlines.
  • Assist in maintaining processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information, prices, and delivery dates in all systems.
  • Prepare, produce, and post product labels for customers to suppliers, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Monitor customer portals, updating order and delivery information to meet delivery targets.
  • Update the order tracker with feedback from suppliers and notify all parties of any orders falling behind schedule.
  • Prepare invoices for sign-off, ensuring price accuracy and updating deal sheets when applicable.
  • Undertake any other administrative tasks as required.
