We are currently seeking an organised, pro-active and driven Assistant Manager to join the team in our Stratford Upon Avon store. Overview

This is a part time role, working 32 hours a week on a rotational shift basis.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the operational aspects of running a PANDORA store. This means you will have a focus on stock control, store procedures, managing store security, team rotas and organising teams around the store to optimise sales. You will be responsible on tracking the teams sales performance. You will be the key support in supporting, coaching and motivating the in-store team to achieve and exceed sales targets, identifying and maximising on opportunities, and driving exemplary PANDORA customer service. You will be expected to have a strong retail floor presence, managing teams presence around the store and influencing the sales space, so enjoying this kind of working environment is vital. You will be the Store Manager when the Manager is absent.

The Role & Responsibilities

Store Operations
  • Ensure the team are aware of and abiding by all retail operational procedures
  • Conducting the store signing in/out and opening/closing procedures and ensuring team members are trained in these areas
  • Manage all aspects of health and safety in store, implement and manage company policy and
  • procedures and practice safe working methods at all times
  • Ensure bag checks are carried out daily, jewellery cabinets and safes are kept locked at all times
  • Reconcile daily sales, cash and cards
  • Be vigilant against fraudulent or criminal activity; monitor, report and follow up as necessary
  • Manage gift card process and ensure banking process is completed accurately at the end of each day ready for collection
  • Ensure stock is kept in a safe, secure and tidy manner
  • With support from the Loss Prevention Manager, carry out stock takes every 6 months with allowance of only 0.5% loss. Minimise loss through effectively managing stock deliveries and storage and safe processes

People Management and Development
  • Oversee the shop floor; ensure daily tasks are delegated effectively to the wider team, organising the team around the store in order to maximise store performance.
  • Train the teams to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to work productively, deliver excellent service and act as PANDORA brand ambassadors
  • Support with individual and group coaching/feedback sessions. Ensure online training tools are being 100% completed and ensure training content is being put into action on the shop floor
  • Running daily team huddles in the absence of the Store Manager - ensuring these are commercial, relevant and motivational and that Retail Operations bulletin guidance is being actioned
  • Oversee teams to ensure they are PANDORA brand ambassadors, presentable and aligned with the company style guide
  • Support with timesheets; ensure they are submitted accurately and in accordance with Payroll deadlines
  • Assist with rota management: ensure they are always completed 4 weeks ahead of time and that hours adhere to working time regulations, budgets and productivity expectations
  • Full onboarding process for the team, including interviews and new starter/leaver/changes documents, Right To Work checks etc, with the support of the HR team
  • Support with people management: performance catch ups, probationary reviews, development talks and ad-hoc recorded conversations. Resolve any team issues swiftly and fairly
  • Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings when necessary, in line with the company formal disciplinary procedure and with support from your RSM and the HR team
  • Manage team absence
  • Ensure strict confidentiality with sensitive employee information, ensure your teams do the same

Commercial Success
  • Over-see and drive sales performance from an hourly up to a yearly basis - ensure store KPIs are met
  • Assist with commercial and engaging incentives targets for store teams in order to drive sales
  • A strong sales leader and motivator to the wider team, continually drive individual and store targets
  • Compile accurate weekly and monthly sales reports, in conjunction with Head Office teams

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
  • Established Assistant Store Manager or extensive Floor Management experience with a leading brand or luxury retailer in a high turnover store
  • Proven track record of driving sales in a commercially driven environment
  • The ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Skills; solid understanding of Microsoft excel
  • Strong communication and motivational skills in order to establish a high performance team
  • Organised and structured approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well-presented and a brand ambassador
