Role: Assistant Manager

What We’re Looking For We are on the search for confident, dedicated and hardworking people, loaded with personality, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

What Your Responsibilities May Include The basis of the Assistant Manager Position includes all elements of a Front of House Team Member/Supervisor role including but not limited too; setting up the venue for service and closing down at the end of a shift, welcoming guests, serving food and drink, high levels of menu and product knowledge, basic levels of cleaning and accurately taking orders. In addition, supervisors responsibilities will also include: * Taking responsibility for the business performance of the bar and restaurant. * Analysing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability * Developing marketing strategies to increase footfall and customer spend * Organising marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes * Preparing reports at the end of the week, including staff control, food control and sales * Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development * Setting budgets and/or agreeing them with senior management. Planning and coordinating drinks menus * Coordinating the entire operation of the bar and restaurant during scheduled shifts * Create weekly rotas in line with wage percentage budgets * Recruiting, training, managing and motivating staff and providing them with feedback * Provide exceptional customer service at all times

Additional Responsibilities May Include * Hold regular development and training meetings with team members to encourage and monitor performance growth * Work with Head Office to develop all policies and procedures * Deputise all of the General Manager duties when they are not available

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential * Good communications skills * Minimum of 2 years experience of working in a similar industry such as food service, catering or hospitality * Previous food handling experience * Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices * High levels of personal hygiene and appearance * Awareness of cellar management
