Assistant Management Accountant (Maternity Cover 12 Month FTC)

Line Manager: Senior Management Accountant

Contract Terms: 12-month fixed term contract, 40 hours per week

THE TEAM

The Finance team ensures the effective internal and external financial reporting of the company, that all corporate controls are adhered to, and that all statutory tax and accounting requirements are met.

The team is currently expanding the quantity and detail of its reporting across the business to help shape the way the business operates in the future. Therefore, the quality and timeliness of our reporting is key to the decision making of the management team.

THE JOB

The role encompasses a variety of elements from across the Management Accounts function, which ensures accurate revenue and expense recognition across all of Ticketmaster UK’s business units. The role mainly supports the Senior Management Accountant and wider team, but also supports the Finance Director, Technology and Central Costs, by taking ownership of monthly balance sheet file preparation, as well as the underlying reconciliations, in order to facilitate a robust review process.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Preparing profit & loss reports and supporting schedules for presentation to senior management
  • Processing month-end tasks for the Technology and Central Costs team
  • Producing monthly reports to facilitate tasks for the Tax Manager
  • Liaising with the team to produce monthly balance sheet files and related reconciliations
  • Preparing and disseminating regular ticket sales reports
  • Preparing reports for Government Departments such as Office of National Statistics and payment processing.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the BFD (our internal transactional database)
  • Assisting with the preparation and collation of support for annual SOX and financial statement audits
  • Ad hoc tasks as required to support the team

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Minimum of Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Experience with FRS 102, US GAAP and SOX preferred
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, EPM and DOMO preferred, but not essential

  • Ability to effectively work within a team to analyse, interpret, and consolidate information in order to produce effective reporting and communications to all levels of the business
  • Excellent organisational skills in order to manage multiple stakeholders within projects while working to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Determination to continually improve underlying processes and eliminate manual/redundant procedures
  • Pursue relevant professional qualifications if not qualified and/or additional training
