Job Description


Working in a fast paced, growing distribution centre, our Maintenance Assistant will work alongside our facilities team, mainly with our senior maintenance engineer, maintaining operational systems to ensure a smooth flow throughout our warehouse processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Senior Maintenance Engineer and Facilities Management on repairs and breakdowns
  • Follow Health & Safety requirements at all times
  • Use the correct PPE provided when carrying out tasks
  • Affecting repairs to damaged and faulty equipment in good time so availability is not affected and maintain stocks of all spares at appropriate economic and operational level
  • Cleaning of all equipment following approved company methods
  • Carry out routine tasks on ancillary equipment and monitor system performance
  • Complete paperwork and hand to Senior Maintenance Engineer & Facilities Management

  • Have the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, with excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Be a real team player with a proven ability to take ownership for tasks and situations
  • Have a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work flexibly
  • Experience in a similar distribution setting
  • Willingness to follow instructions
  • Computer literate
  • IPAF qualification would be advantageous
