Assistant Farm Manager / Working Foreman – Arable Farming

My client is a long-established arable farming business based across three main sites in The Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend. The business has received several awards in recognition of their innovative farming techniques that deliver high quality crops with sustainability and the environment at the forefront of their farming system.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for An assistant farm manager / working foreman to join their well-established team based on the outskirts of Bridgend.

The role will involve managing up to 5 members of staff at any time on the farm, delegating tasks and responsibilities and overseeing the smooth running of the farm whilst also assisting with day-to-day tasks such as tractor driving, spraying & drilling. You will have experience of delivering the full harvest cycle in a similar role and any experience within arable farming sustainability projects would be very advantageous.

The successful candidate will have a real passion for farming and a desire to have their boots on the ground producing results whilst the back-office team handle much of the paperwork.

Our client is open to accepting applications from candidates with varying levels of experience however you should have some experience in a similar role.

Day to day activities:

• Delegation of tasks
• Management of Staff
• Tractor Driving – Spraying – Drilling Seeds
• Ensuring

Qualifications:

· PA1, PA2,

· Driving License

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Skills:

• Good knowledge of Arable Farming techniques
• Understanding of the full harvest cycle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of sustainable farming procedures

Pay & Benefits:

• Salary – Up to £40000 Per Annum (based on experience)
