My client based in Sutton Coldfield is a successful metallic raw material supplier are now looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join their friendly team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with existing suppliers, identifying new sources for materials sand services and negotiation of pricing and contract terms.

You will also be responsible for the placement of purchase orders, controlling supplier performance and relationships and Reviewing and validating of Purchase Requests.

This role is most suited to someone who has previous experience in a Buyer or Supply Chain role with strong commercial and negotiation skills. You must have excellent analytical / organisational skills as well as a strong Mathematical mind.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

Salary £26,000 per annum

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Sutton Coldfield: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Procurement: 1 year (required)
• Data analysis skills: 1 year (preferred)
