ABOUT UNILEVER

Unilever is one of the world’s leading suppliers of Food, Home and Personal Care products with sales in over 190 countries and reaching 2 billion consumers a day. Unilever has more than 400 brands found in homes around the world, including Persil, Dove, Knorr, Domestos, Hellmann’s, Lipton, Wall’s, PG Tips, Ben & Jerry’s, Marmite, Magnum and Lynx. Faced with the challenge of climate change and the need for human development, we want to move towards a world where everyone can live well and within the natural limits of the planet. That’s why our purpose is ‘to make sustainable living commonplace”

Our Marketeers create value by building more relevant and meaningful consumer relationships. Our job is to offer the right product to the right person at the right time. Whether you’re bringing a trusted favourite to a new market, or launching something new, you’ll see great products brought to life in the eyes of customers and consumers, creating relationships that can last generations.

Unilever’s Marketers are impactful Entrepreneurs in sustainable marketing and are increasingly focused on driving performance through brands with purpose; brands which provide a positive change to people and to society. We want to reach more people in more places more often with product truth; enabling and empowering people to achieve great things for themselves, for our business, and for the world. Our brilliantly different brands - brands that have a strong purpose, but where the product itself is also contributing towards a more sustainable planet – such as Knorr, Omo, Dove and Domestos are growing 30% faster than the rest of our portfolio and delivering over half of our growth.

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars, Lever House in Kingston, Unilever House in Leatherhead and Graze in Richmond. We are creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment, purposefully bringing us together in our own Unilever ecosystem. The campus is due to be completed in December 2023 and will consist of two interconnected buildings, as well as landscaped surrounding areas.

JOB PURPOSE

Creating a trustmark icon of the Unilever brand for doing good in the world.

Unilever has been making lives better for more than 125 years. From our founders’ 19th century commitment to “do well by doing good’ to our ambitious 21st century purpose, of making sustainable living commonplace, the company has always been an agent for social change.

Unilever is probably the only organization that uses its scale to do good in the world, through the products we sell and the people we employ.

Since 2014, the Unilever brand has been building awareness amongst its consumer base about our purpose. The Unilever brand has successfully increased its awareness and equity over the years to be awarded and recognized at multiple forums as a leader and pioneer in driving social change and sustainability. As trust disintegrates and the world gets more uncertain, Unilever sees a bigger role to play in empowering people and society to do good in the world.

In Unilever we also recognise that in the Connected World, consumer journeys are now much more complex leading to a complex marketing landscape with many more touch-points. We see brand communications through two lenses: the world of Interruption Advertising, i.e. interrupting lives with our branded messages and the world of Seek-out Content, i.e. branded stuff that people genuinely seek-out. The candidate will be the champion and standard bearer for consumer journeys and how the Unilever brand will show up in the most engaging and compelling way.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.

In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them to the IT Services Desk via Una Live Chat.

Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financially impacted by recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
