We are recruiting a full-time and permanent Assistant Accountant working Monday to Friday, to join our team in Coatbridge at an exciting time in our journey. The Job

As Assistant Accountant you will be working within a team, supporting the Financial Controller with the accounting requirements for the Scottish depots.

A Little Bit More About The Role
  • Preparation of information for the weekly and monthly management accounts and management reporting
  • Sales ledger activities – raising invoices, credit control, allocation of receipts
  • Purchase ledger activities – process invoices/credits, statement reconciliations, query resolution, supplier payments.
  • Cashbook activities – posting cash and preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Business support for agreed businesses or functions
  • Work as part of local finance team to cover regular accounting administration and ad hoc tasks
The Ideal Candidate Will Be
  • Working towards a professional accounting qualification; AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA
  • Experienced in an accounting role
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills including MS Excel
  • A strong communicator
