We believe our residents deserve a place that is safe, clean and green, with high quality services they can rely on.The Asset Management Team are looking for a motivated Asset Information Officer who can support the Team with a multi-disciplinary approach to support a wide range of services.The Asset Management Team are currently in an exciting phase where we are creating a £728m 12-year Capital works programme that will be delivering major works to our residential dwellings and blocks across the borough.As well as this a Stock Condition Survey programme is currently underway to survey all our residential assets over a 2-year period. Our aim to become an asset rich Council by ensuring our Asset Database (Technology Forge) is populated with as much data as possible, including Stock Condition Data, completed works information and compliance data.We are on a journey to migrate from Technology Forge to a new Integrated Housing Management System with a dedicated Asset Management module. This migration brings many exciting challenges and opportunities.Central to all our work is the Council’s climate change target of achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2030. To achieve this, we are currently working on a retrofit strategy and a major programme of works to retrofit our housing stock. These are just some of the major projects currently taking place within Asset Management.If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to try and work in a multi-disciplinary environment to support various functions within Asset Management, this role is for you. Working as an Asset Information Officer, you will work in a vital role to support the residential asset management team to ensure we are data rich, have a robust 12-year programme, work with stakeholders across the council to improve data exchange processes and help us to reach our net zero carbon ambitions.Our mission is to be the best council. If you’re looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you.The Role Responsibilities Are As BelowRole Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain effective pro-active performance monitoring processes and systems to enable the monitoring and evaluation of performance and costs across the directorate.
- Use a variety of analyses techniques, such as scenario modelling to forecast the out turn so that pro-active action can be taken to prevent under performance.
- Monitor revenue and capital budgets and report variances in budgeted, actual and forecasted spend across the directorate.
- Contribute to supplying data for external benchmarking and statutory bodies, ensuring proper adherence to criteria.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on the performance and budget framework and monitoring mechanisms.
