We are looking to fill roles that involve the stripping and cleaning of parts and components. This could then turn into an assembly fitter type role, with upskilling and training whilst in the role.
Intiailly, any candidates who have some experience with parts or component overhaul / stripping / cleaning or assembly line experience will be considered. Our client would then be looking to teach you fitting skills with an aim to upskill you into a more technical position actually assembling and fitting components together.
These roles are on a contract basis, working 37 hours a week, monday - friday days. There is a lot of overtime available, including saturday and sunday, which is paid at a higher rate
Here is a breakdown of the rates on offer:
£10.96 PAYE
£16.44 PAYE - Monday to Saturday Overtime
£21.92 PAYE - Sunday Overtime
This 10.96 rate would be for your first 6-8 weeks of intial training and intergration.
The following rates are for after this period:
£12.18 PAYE
£18.27 PAYE – Monday to Saturday Overtime
£24.36 PAYE – Sunday Overtime
As mentioned previosuly in this ad, this "strip and clean" role could then turn into an assembly fitter / technician role, with a more technical responsibilty of fitting components together.
Duties of a Fitter / Technician would include:
- Overhaul, repair, assemble and test a variety of equipment, including warranty returns, refurbished and new: callipers, actuators, discs, couplers, brake controls, etc.
- Where equipment does not achieve required outputs, does not fit together, etc. to investigate, fault find and diagnose likely causes and where possible correct the fault.
- Operate monitoring, measuring and diagnostic equipment.
£13.86 PAYE
£20.79 PAYE – Monday to Saturday Overtime
£27.72 PAYE – Sunday Overtime
A 1 stage in person interview will be conducted with succesful applicants. If offered the role you would need to under go a drugs and alcohol test prior to starting. This will be arranged by TXM Recruit and intially paid for by us but will eventually be recouped over installments once you begin employment.
