We are looking for a creative, inspiring Artist to work in our new art studio with our preschool children. We embrace all approaches to early years education and would love someone with either Reggio Emilia training or a creative degree to join our team so they can skilfully nurture the children’s joy in creative design. You will be supplied with an Apple Mac computer to enhance the opportunities you can offer to the children. You must hold a BA in a creative subject and have a passion for working with children. No childcare qualification is required if you can prove you have the passion and dedication for this role. This role will be over 5 days and hours will be negotiable. Training opportunities We want our team to follow their passions, 45% of our current team have or are studying for degrees. 6 of our 40 educators are teachers, and we are always excited to add more. We have trained our educators as yoga teachers, emotion coaching teachers, in Theraplay and more. Two of our team went to Iceland for a week to explore outdoor play with other international teachers, two went to Austria for Original Play training, and we plan many more training trips in the future. SAFEGUARDING NOTE: As this role is working in a “regulated activity” according to the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, the successful applicant will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS) this check will need to come back clear before work can commence. All employees must be on the update service. As well as enhanced DBS, two references from previous employers or in case of a newly qualified student, their tutor and a personal/professional reference is required. We are looking for both part time and full time team members
