KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectorsJob Title: Art Tutor (Trainee or Qualified) (Trainee or Qualified Tutor opportunity) Location: Rugby - Centre based Salary:up to 33,000 (some flexibility DOE) Type: Full Time, Permanent Essential Criteria:

  • Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in an Art / Design / Creative discipline.
  • Experience of delivering training to groups
  • Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
  • Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Duties include:

  • Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Art Skills within a classroom-based environment.
  • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
  • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
  • Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
  • Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners needs.

Personal Skills:

  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
