We are currently seeking an Art Ecommerce Manager to join our esteemed organization.

The Multi-Award-Winning Laura I. Art Gallery is offering a commission-based business partnership.

In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our website, ensuring regular updates and maintaining optimal SEO performance. Additionally, your duties will include creatives recruitment, showcasing artworks and artists in the best possible light through our website, curating exhibitions and artworks collections, and liaising with both artists and collectors. Additionally, you will need to ensure that artworks are updated and uploaded onto our partners’ platform.

As an Art Ecommerce Manager, you will have the added responsibility of overseeing the recruitment of talented artists, providing training to volunteers, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets by implementing comprehensive marketing strategies. Consider this opportunity as if you were purchasing your own business, but with the advantage of us bearing all the costs associated with maintaining the website. This includes expenses such as hosting fees, hiring professional designers and developers, and implementing necessary apps to optimize performance. We aim to support you in running your own successful venture, allowing you to solely focus on the growth and profitability of our collaborative business.

You will also need to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase website traffic, improve conversion rates, and enhance customer engagement.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in e-commerce, digital marketing, and technology.

Skills Required:

To succeed in this role, you will need a range of important skills.

Firstly, confidence in public speaking is essential, as you will be attending networking events, art fairs, and exhibitions.

You should also possess excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, as being well-mannered and well-spoken is crucial.

Additionally, strong writing skills are a must, as you will be responsible for writing blogs and curating exhibitions.

The ability to take initiative and constantly seek improvement is highly valued, as we are seeking ambitious individuals who strive to be the best in their field.

Lastly, being detail-oriented and vigilant is crucial, ensuring that no content oversight occurs, especially with the materials published by artists.

Other important skills but not essential:

Skills:

- Proven experience as an E-commerce Manager or similar role

- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and content management systems (CMS)

- Proficient in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website performance and user behavior

- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices to optimize website content for search engines

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

By possessing these skills, you will excel in this role and contribute to the success of the team.

While experience in the art world is preferred, we are also interested in individuals who possess a genuine passion for working in the art industry and have notable expertise in business and branding, or possess strong knowledge in eCommerce and WordPress. It is essential that the candidate is skilled in connecting with artists who demonstrate excellent work ethic and discipline, as well as building relationships with art collectors and establishing new partnerships. Formal training on our organization’s policies, procedures, and expectations will be provided, along with specific targets to achieve. The chosen candidate must ensure our brand and story are effectively communicated to our audience.

Payment:

Our business partners can take advantage of our commission-based payment structure. Depending on the sales generated, you will be eligible for different commission rates. Monthly Sales under 10k will earn you a 10% commission, while monthly sales between 10k and 25k will result in a 15% commission. Additionally, if you achieve monthly sales between 25k and 100k, your commission rate will increase to 20%. Once you reach the milestone of 100k in yearly sales, we will extend a permanent position to you, accompanied by attractive pension benefits.

To express your interest in partnering with us, kindly send a cover letter to laura@lauraigallery.com with the subject line "Business Collaboration," detailing the value you can bring to our organization.
