This role has been created at Upham Inns to help support our business and deliver exceptional food service to our guests. The role of the Area Relief Chef will encompass periods of short-term cover within our kitchens across the Upham estate. Being a support to the operations team and helping sites maintain food service standards.   • Full chef uniform The role will require:
  • Covering Head Chef / Sous Chef holidays
  • Supporting businesses whilst they are recruiting for a Head Chef / Sous Chef
  • All aspects of food stock control including ordering, deliveries, stock taking and control of wastage
  • Training and developing the kitchen team (when required) so that they can reach their potential
  • All aspects of Food Safety and Health and Safety compliance in accordance with the law and Company policy The right person will:
  • Have the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Be flexible and amenable
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have exemplary standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
  • Be comfortable working with a range of food menus Previous experience of working within a busy kitchen is essential. You must be keen to develop, willing to take on responsibility and remain calm under pressure
