If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic team covering the North of England.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will proactively seek and nurture relationships with a diverse range of customers, including Local Authorities, Housing Developers, Town and Parish Councils, Architects, and Schools. You will manage your own schedule effectively, balancing customer-facing interactions with administrative tasks. Following up on sales and marketing leads, you will aim to generate business opportunities and revenue. You will conduct site surveys across various environments and seasons and strategically evaluate sales prospects. Collaboration with internal teams is crucial to develop proposals and tender submissions. You will also manage CRM systems and sales pipelines to ensure the conversion of opportunities into revenue. Throughout the sales cycle, from order acceptance to completion, you will prioritise maintaining high levels of service and customer care. Additionally, you will attend industry events to stay informed on trends and competitor analysis, which will inform your strategic objectives.

Area Sales Manager Requirements

Full training will be provided for this role so whilst experience is important, we are looking for the right attitude, temperament and character to join our team.

  • The ability and confidence to work with customers, many of whom hold senior positions within their organisation
  • Strong character values with honesty and integrity a priority
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills and an outgoing personality.
  • Time Management and Organisational Skills
  • Demonstrable experience and result in a sales environment, providing solutions based on customers’ needs
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work to targets
  • Good geographical knowledge within your territory
  • A full UK driving licence is essential

Desirable

  • 2 years experience of selling to senior level decision makers
  • Playground equipment industry experience
  • Experience of conducting surveys of some form and accurate drawings
  • Experience of selling to the education sector

Area Sales Manager Benefits
