As part of a dynamic commercial team, you will have overall responsibility to maximise revenue and margin through proactive management of the existing portfolio of customers and driving sustainable growth through the addition of new clients in your designated geographical area.

The Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join the most successful commercial team in the transport and equipment sector as an area sales manager.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a dynamic commercial team, you will have overall responsibility to maximise revenue and margin through proactive management of the existing portfolio of customers and driving sustainable growth through the addition of new clients in your area.
  • You will lead prospecting and account management activities, hitting revenue targets and identifying new opportunities in your area.
  • You will have good market awareness and be aware of the competition and what they offer.
  • You will build long term relationships with the customer base and profitably manage the existing customer base, while working with customer service to keep the customer 100% satisfied, while working with risk and collections to ensure timely payment.

Experience:

  • You will have 5 years or more of area sales experience with a proven track record in sales and be able to function independently.

Benefits:

  • In return they offer OTE of £55,000 - £60,000 with a company car, pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
