Our multidisciplinary design team is part of Mace’s consultancy technical services. Our design team includes architects, engineers, urban designers, master planners and interior designers. We deliver projects nationally for both public and private sectors including government departments, local authorities and private developers.

Mace is recruiting qualified architects or senior architectural technologists to lead and develop public and private sector projects in our multidisciplinary design team within consultancy technical services. Typically, this role will be based in our London office with site and client visits and one day per week working from home. This work pattern may vary during the COVID 19 pandemic.

The projects are new builds, extensions, remodels and refurbishments with project values between £100k and £10m for clients including the local authorities. Our design team develop residential and mixed-use projects, too.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering projects from feasibility to tender including stage reports, planning applications, building regulation applications and employers requirements.
  • Being the technical advisor in reviewing the contractor’s proposals and site operations during the post-tender stage.
  • Directing a design team and client engagements.
  • Structuring their workload and deliverables as well as those of their project assistant to achieve the requirements of the project and programme.
About you

You are Part 3 qualified, ARB or ICAT registered. You are digitally savvy, especially in using BIM and Revit software and can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You will have experience in public and private sector projects in a multidisciplinary design team within consultancy technical services background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.

The candidates will be asked to complete a BIM/Revit test at the interview stage.
